Creating Oxygen On Mars – key technologies for human space missions.
The MOXIE instrument is one of the seven competitively placed instruments on the Mars 2020 Rover which is currently on the surface of Mars. Built by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, It is designed to demonstrate our ability to convert the atmosphere of Mars into useable oxygen for use on future Mars missions – specifically for follow-on human missions. This seminar will focus on the MOXIE instrument and the technical challenges of the Integration and Test campaign.
